Dear Participants,

On behalf of the Organizing Team, it is my pleasure to welcome you all to the 13th annual session of JMUNESCO. JMUNESCO stands for Junior Model United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization. Our conference will be held by Bilkent Laboratory and International School from the 24th to the 26th of February 2023.

JMUNESCO is a conference that provides middle and high school students a platform to debate current global issues and present suitable solutions in a first-timer-friendly environment. Students taking part in JMUNESCO evolve into more productive members of society and have an eye-opening experience throughout their three days. Our main goal in this conference is to make students more knowledgeable about current global conflicts and improve their debating and negotiating skills significantly since they will be shaping the near future.

On this note, our theme for this year, “peace through innovation” emphasizes that we should work together and present innovative and sustainable solutions for a better future.

We are working hard to create a memorable experience for all participants on our first face-to-face conference since the pandemic. On behalf of the Organizing Team, once again I would like to welcome you to the 13th annual session of JMUNESCO.
